Neuberg College, from 2015
Verein für Übersetzung der Gesellschaft (Association for the Translation of Society)

Bildunterschrift

Since 2015, an open collective of artists and scientists has been developing the non-profit Neuberg College in collaboration with the town of Neuberg an der Mürz. It is devoted to process-open learning and engages with its rural surroundings. Summer and winter project weeks are held in the listed building of Neuberg railway station, which was taken out of use in 2001. The station is currently adapted with careful provisional solutions, while its conversion is planned with the architect collective studio magic. There is no pressure to produce results, instead this is an artistic, exploratory approach with a longer timeline. Projects are developed situation-ally based on themes encountered here, in collegial practice and a broad network. In 2020, this included a gender-appropriate urinal for women, which is now being installed in the station. In 2021, the focus will be on the handling of resources.

As part of the summer college in Neuberg, the Kunsthaus Graz will receive summer greetings from Neuberg. More detailed information from June onwards on www.kunsthausgraz.at
