Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) have already become the norm in our vehicles in recent years, from lane keeping, parking and braking assist to adaptive cruise control. The next step – the transition from assisted to partially and fully automated driving – is already on the horizon. Headquartered in Graz, AVL is an important partner for vehicle manufacturers around the world in making this vision a reality. With its expertise in development, simulation and testing tools, AVL supports these companies in developing and optimising innovative systems: from the design and specification of ADAS, e.g. based on driving scenarios, to the control software that helps determine which decisions a vehicle makes, to extensive testing.
