Bildunterschrift

The exhibition architecture designed by studio itzo adopts a resource-saving approach on a number of levels. Most of the elements are from previous Kunsthaus exhibitions. Between 2016 and 2020 several practical tests were carried out, resulting in a modular, recyclable, open system. Its components are now brought together for the first time as part of SHOWING STYRIA. In addition, materials sourced from the recycling-based dismantling of buildings or infrastructures (BauKarussell and materialnomaden) or ecologically sustainable materials are used – such as cross-laminated timber. studio itzo has developed a catalogue of diverse modular structures combining references to historical displays with aspects of sustainability.
