Behind the ‘Common Good Balance Sheet’ lies the ‘Economy for the Common Good (ECG)’ – a movement originating in Austria that sees itself as a fundamental critique and practical alternative to capitalist economic activity. The ECG wants to turn capitalism ‘upside down’, i.e. from profit directly to the ‘common good’.

In Training Democracy, Werner Reiterer explores the social demands of various opinion leaders in his own subversive way. Quotes collected from the American and European pro- and anti-abortion movements from 1999 to 2007 include protest slogans such as ‘Keep abortion legal’ or ‘My body, my decision’.
This series goes back to a postcard edition by Heinrich Hoffmann, Adolf Hitler’s personal photographer. Hoffmann’s photos were published en masse, making a significant contribution to the Führer cult under National Socialism. The artist group G.R.A.M. appropriated and restaged Hoffmann’s depictions.
