Bildunterschrift

Behind the ‘store of the future’ is a collaboration between four regional local suppliers: three long-established traders from the area around Graz and a start-up founder from the city of Graz. Its roots go back to a shopping community of grandparents – today, however, it is not about price, but rather quality leadership. Conscious of this, the community has rediscovered the regional, the stationary, and also traditional techniques such as the preserving method of ‘Einrexen’ as old strengths and translated them into the future – not just with new words such as sustainability, zero waste or slow food, but in an authentic, down-to-earth manner and without any gimmicks. As was the case for the grandparents, knowledge transfer is a key tenet – because knowledge becomes more for everyone when it is shared. This is also how the idea of sharing coffee came about – in an exchange between roasting experience, eco-fair procurement and new urban coffee culture.
